Creative work is mostly showing up every day and enduring a million tiny failures as you feel your way to something a bit new.

I’m a mom, wife, musician, and have a few other titles as well! I became interested in photography as art when my husband and I discovered William Wegman’s work. I received my first DSLR in 2011 and have been studying photography seriously since then–reading everything I can and taking a class here and there. My blog is a place to post some of my work. It’s a journey because I’m still learning. The more I study, the more I realize how little I know. The title Blue Note is a musical term that is used in jazz and blues music. I first heard the term “blue note” in college and it intrigued me and has stayed with me. Music is my first love and truly my life’s work.

  5. I love the slogan you have chosen for your blog about creativity, it really resonated with me. Creativity is truly a journey towards something wonderful, and no journey is without its bumps, but nonetheless a journey worth taking.
